ADHERENCE
Adherence to single-pill versus free-equivalent combination therapy in
hypertension: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Parati G, et al. Hypertension. 2021;77(2):692-705.
Poor adherence to antihypertensive therapy remains a global challenge and a major cause of poor BP control in patients
with hypertension. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to review whether simplification of the treatment regimen
through single-pill combination (SPC) led to improved adherence, persistence, and better BP control compared with free-
equivalent combination (FEC).
